It depends on the fish, how it's prepared, etc. I suck at pairing wine with food. You usually can't go wrong with pinot noir with salmon. A rosé from provence will go with just about anything out of the sea - especially shell fish. Try some spanish, too, like a Rias Baixas. A Chablis or other Burgundian chard would go. Just so people don't think I'm a snob or something, you can any of these for the same price you pay for your nasty-ass pinot fucking grigio in the supermarket (well, maybe not the Burgundy).
